Give your garden structure from the start

Living Walls™ instant hedges provided the structure needed to complete the courtyard design for this award-winning home.

A newly completed garden can still look unfinished when its hedge begins as a row of small, separate plants.

For some projects, allowing a hedge to develop gradually over time may be appropriate. But when the hedge is expected to provide definition, screening or a sense of enclosure, it can take years for individual plants to grow together and fulfil that role.

With conventional planting, the structure develops gradually. With Living Walls™ instant hedges, it is present from the start.

Living Walls™ hedges are supplied fully formed in one-metre lengths, ready to install. Placed together, they create a continuous hedge from day one.

From hedge unit to continuous hedge

A fully formed Living Walls™ hedge unit, supplied in one-metre lengths.

The hedge units are removed from the bag and installed side by side to create one continuous hedge.

Each Living Walls™ unit is supplied as a one-metre hedge length.

The lengths are installed together, with the foliage meeting to form one continuous hedge.

This gives the garden definition and screening immediately, rather than waiting for individual plants to fill out and grow together.

Living Walls™ hedges can be installed by a landscaper or capable planting team, with detailed planting guidance available from Twining Valley Nurseries.

Installed that day, the one-metre hedge lengths already read as one continuous hedge.

Different heights, the same approach

The same approach can be used for different parts of the garden.

Living Walls™ hedges are available in low, mid-height, tall and pleached formats for different landscape applications.

A taller Living Screen™ hedge provides greater privacy, softens a boundary or hides an unwanted view.

Installed together, the hedge units provide a continuous screen immediately.

Living Boundary™ hedges provide privacy and definition without creating a full-height screen, making them well suited to property boundaries, outdoor living areas and spaces within the garden.
