New Traditional

The third collaboration between Kate and the homeowners, this New Traditional remodel began as a project focused solely on furnishings and ultimately evolved into a thorough renovation. As repeat clients, there was a level of trust and familiarity in the process that allowed us to build on our understanding of how the family lived and what they truly needed from their home.  The design embraced a timeless Traditional aesthetic, with classic detailing and carefully selected materials complemented by a healthy dose of pattern. Rather than competing with the architectural elements of the house, the patterns added personality and visual interest while maintaining a sense of restraint and longevity. One of the home’s most thoughtful functional details was a hidden pantry tucked behind the kitchen, with a direct connection to the laundry room. This kept the everyday workspaces discreetly out of sight while allowing the kitchen and dining areas to remain polished and inviting. The result was a space that felt authentically rooted in the home’s traditional character while being beautifully tailored to the way the family lived.
