Llano Retreat

Set along the Llano River, this Hill Country retreat was designed with Michael Hsu Office of Architecture and built by Classic Constructors. Texas limestone, shou sugi ban, concrete, white oak, steel, and dark stone establish a restrained architectural palette tied closely to the landscape. Our goal with the interiors was simple: the furnishings needed to belong to the architecture, be comfortable, and let the house and the river views do the rest. Custom pieces, vintage furniture, and natural materials were selected with that restraint in mind. The result keeps the focus on the architecture, landscape, and changing views of the river.
