Austin – Cat Mountain

Cat Mountain was our second project with these clients, nearly twenty years after we first worked together. After Austin’s 2021 winter storm caused a pipe to break and water damage, we returned to remodel the kitchen and primary bathroom, refresh paint and finishes, and update selected lighting. Lueders limestone floors were added in part for their coolness underfoot. The interiors became a study in mixing new work with pieces that already held meaning. Vintage furniture—including pieces the client brought with him from Paris—remained alongside newly selected furnishings, while others were reupholstered and given new life. His evolving art collection was approached in the same way, combining longstanding works with new acquisitions.
