At the front of this Georgetown condominium, a single mature tree fills the window—lush green through summer and turning caramel in fall. It became an anchor for the interiors. A rug woven from vintage saris picks up the tree’s autumn color, while natural textures and a restrained palette bring some of the outside in. Art is an important part of the home, with works collected and commissioned for the rooms they inhabit. The furnishings were chosen for both everyday comfort and entertaining, creating a city home that can feel social when friends gather and quiet when it becomes a retreat.
