Sebastopol Hillside II is a modern hillside home designed for the mother of the Owner of Sebatopol Hillside I. This custom home is designed for aging in-place. A sculptural entry stair navigates the fourteen-foot rise from street level to the home’s entry, creating a strong architectural arrival while lifting the house to best engage with panoramic views. Shed rooflines, boxy forms and cementitious cladding create a modern architectural language, while shifting horizontal siding animates walls with limited openings to ensure privacy from the street.
