This home was truly a labor of love, designed and built by Jessica Nelson, principal designer at Etch Design Group, in partnership with Scott Nelson of Dwell Development. As the third personal home they’ve built together, this project embodies the perfect balance of beautiful design and functional living for a busy, working family. The home evolved over five long years, finally overcoming the challenges of building during the pandemic and the subsequent surge in construction costs.

The end result is a stunning family home that meets the demands of daily life without sacrificing aesthetics. Every detail was carefully considered to create a space that not only looks beautiful but stands up to the rigors of family life. Durable finishes, functional layouts, and thoughtful design choices are evident throughout, reflecting the couple’s combined expertise in building and interior design.

Professional Reviews

1 / 3

“I’ve worked with multiple design firms, and Etched Design Group is by far the most transparent and professional team I’ve been involved with. They are incredibly honest and make the entire process easy from start to finish. They truly listen to their clients and adjust quickly to meet the desired goal. As someone who wasn't well versed in the art world, I really appreciated how they explained everything and executed the vision perfectly. We get compliments on their work all the time. I would definitely utilize this team again.”
