My Boba Spot is a vibrant bubble tea and puff-waffle shop in Yuba City, California, designed as a lively community hub for leisure and social interaction. The interior's defining feature is an 18-foot-foot diameter, dusty pink graphic bubble that slips down the wall and onto the floor, carving out a playful room-within-a-room. Inside this pink sphere, two dangling swings create a dedicated, highly photogenic backdrop for customer selfies.
The high-gloss finish of the tile flooring mirrors the curved wall graphics, producing an optical, multi-dimensional quality that shifts seamlessly between two-dimensional art and three- dimensional space.
Behind the counter, back-of-house operations are separated from the main lounge by a sequence of layered structural thresholds. These architectural openings create a sense of receding visual depth, offering customers playful glimpses behind the scenes while maintaining functional privacy for the tea makers. The signature dusty pink hue—inspired by the vibrant sunsets over the surrounding agricultural fields—rhythmically wraps the interior, alternating between outlining the edges of structural openings and completely blanketing specific wall faces to fuse nostalgic local charm with contemporary pop aesthetics.
