Belle Meade

The experience begins even before entry. Visitors cross a shallow body of water, heightening awareness of movement and reflection before arriving at a height-and-a-half foyer washed in natural light. Metallic accents and sculptural chandeliers amplify this luminosity, creating a sense of anticipation and refinement. Social spaces are oriented around framed views of sky, palms, and greenery, captured through clerestory windows and expansive glazing. Material choices reinforce the home’s organic character: limestone floors echo the exterior coral stone walls, while warm wood ceilings soften the interior palette. Sliding glass doors open to a shaded rear loggia, where a cantilevered overhang creates a comfortable setting for outdoor entertaining beside the pool. Furnishings and décor were curated to complement the architecture’s clean lines and tropical modern sensibility. Softly curved seating, rounded tables, and patterned rugs introduce warmth and tactility, while a restrained palette of creams, browns, and richly veined stone grounds the spaces. Art plays a central role, with bold works—such as a painting by Miami artist Purvis Young—providing moments of color and cultural resonance. Circulation corridors double as gallery spaces, offering contemplative views into each courtyard as one moves through the home. The result is an architecture experienced in motion—a series of intimate encounters between art, nature, and light
