We chose Terry & Terry after an exhaustive review of Bay Area-based architects based not only on their aesthetic and portfolio, but the fact that they were very easy and pleasant to work with, and we could not be happier with the results. Our project involved a complete renovation of a 1912-built single family home in San Francisco, which meant we had to go through the entire Historical Resource Determination as well as the rest of the nightmare process of renovating a home in San Francisco, and T&T were helpful the entire way. They worked seamlessly with our excellent general contractor, Art of Construction, and were always available to address any issues or concerns that come up during any aspect of the construction. We've been in the house for three years now and it just gets better over time. I'd happily use them again for any new projects.

Alex and Ivan did a terrific job with our renovation. They completely updated and modernized our 1890's San Francisco house while still preserving as much of the original as possible. They were attentive, creative, and always a pleasure to work with. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We have only the highest of praises for Terry and Terry Architecture. It was a pleasure working with them from the first sketches to the final paint. We bought a very old arts & crafts home and had no prior experience with a remodel. We wanted to expand the basement into an actual bedroom with office and bath, redo the foundations, redo the back deck, and reconnect our main floor to our basement with a new staircase, all while maintaining an eye to the overall arts & crafts style of the house. Terry and Terry helped us realize our goals and see the potential of adding some modern aesthetics. Their experience helped us get the most of out our collaboration with our contractor as well. We felt confident knowing Alex Terry was checking in at critical points in the building process and was always available to answer our questions. I want to tell you that this house you designed is a small masterpiece. I believe that architecture changes lives, as lives themselves are ambients, and I have seen this house work magic upon my mother. But also for myself, in my brief time here, I have profited from its peace. It is so perfect that one does not even want to play music for fear of disturbing the subtle harmonies of light, and space, and line. Bravo, you have my respect.

My team and I had the pleasure working on one of Alex Terry project located in Palo Alto. Terry and Terry designs are unique, modern, with many small design elements that's seating them apart from other firms. Our project had a long complicated story that started with the home owner choosing wrong contractors to build their dream house and after 3-4 years they where not able to complete framing or any other trade. Alex was helping his client non stop during this mess which I can tell you its something to admire! (we involved in many projects fixing other contractor's work and the architect's don't care). To make a long story short, we enjoyed working with Alex on completing a unique, clean, beautiful modern home! and I highly recommend Terry & Terry Architecture team!
