Located just up the road from Evergreen Lodge, the Rush Creek Lodge, a 143-room hotel situated on 20 acres that opened in 2016, is about a 45-minute drive to the heart of the valley. Whether you choose to spend your days heading into the park or simply opt to relax and stay on property, Rush Creek offers a wealth of fun experiences for all guests.

Rush Creek Lodge represents our second major hospitality project near Yosemite National Park, following our work on the historic Evergreen Lodge a decade prior. Our clients envisioned a premier destination along Yosemite’s main entry highway- a resort that would welcome park visitors by seamlessly catering to both families and couples through a diverse program of room typologies and amenities.

The heart of the resort centers around the pool, which is anchored to the north by the restaurant and general store, and to the south by the main lodge building. Oriented toward the west, the pool and spa areas capture sweeping views of the expansive conifer forest. Higher on the hillside, four-unit suite buildings are carefully sited to contour the topography, ensuring each room enjoys an unobstructed vantage point of the surrounding wilderness.

A vital element of the master plan was the restoration of the property's namesake creek. Revitalized and mindfully redirected, the waterway now weaves through the resort, engaging various guest areas before culminating in a new scenic pond. At twilight, the property transforms; low-impact path lighting gently guides guests through the landscape, drawing them toward outdoor fire pits where families and couples gather to make s'mores and recount the day's adventures.Rush Creek Resort
