As a centre for world-class corrective eye surgery, Eye Institute required an eye-catching design that reflected a state-of-the-art medical environment with provisioning for two surgical theatres.

Founded over 25 years ago, Eye Institute is committed to providing their clients with a truly outstanding experience at every step of their vision journey. Using advanced technologies their gifted specialists make the incredible, life-changing gift of improved eyesight an everyday reality. Their mission is to “ensure that while we work with you, you will have outstanding experiences all the way.”

From a previously successful design and fitout project result at their South Auckland surgery, Eye Institute contracted Focusplan again to design and deliver a fitout that balanced the needs of both the public and their own state-of-the-art medical requirements. It was important for the team at Eye Institute to portray an edgy, contemporary look and feel to the interior to give customers a world-class experience.

Focusplan designed the fitout with monolithic stone look curvaceous walls to form the overarching design. From there, the use of clean white doors and stylish wave booth seating was brought in to compliment the stone. Fabrics and materials are high-quality and luxurious, with the use of organic reindeer moss on their signage providing a subtle biofiltration element.
