Fitting a very small site on Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill, this 3500 square foot home is a composition of contrasts, with solid, modern brick surfaces creating strong shoulders for the large glass openings. The vertical plan places garage, guest suite and media room on the lower level, entry and living spaces on the main floor, bedrooms on the second floor, and a loft-style retreat and roof deck on the third floor.

It is our desire to make custom design available to a wider range of clients, responding to the social and economic challenges of contemporary housing while reducing environmental impact through durable materials, energy-conscious planning, and thoughtful site engagement. Our firm has designed over 250 new homes and major remodels from Seattle to Oregon, California, and as far as Connecticut. Our strong connection to mid-century design and the Pacific Northwest have included major renovations and restorations of homes by renowned Northwest architects Al Bumgardner, Paul Hayden Kirk, Ibsen Nelson, and Roland Terry. The firm has recieved several awards for home design, including three AIA/Seattle Times Home of the Year awards and our works have been featured in countless national and regional publications.
