MKCA is a design practice devoted to creating inventive and beautifully realized work that integrates architecture, interior design, and product design. The studio is recognized for buildings, interiors, and objects that embrace material expression, choreograph space with intelligence, and that embody innovative and thoughtful approaches to craft. Our work is guided by a considered, collaborative, and inclusive process that connects the material and social worlds. We believe that design gains meaning and creates impact through its participants, its materials, and its making. Our approach is both rigorous and imaginative, rooted in curiosity and a deep love of drawing, tinkering, conversation, and exploration. We pair a spirit of experimentation with advanced capabilities in design, analysis, fabrication, and construction to create spaces and experiences that are unexpected, useful, and full of delight. Based in New York City, MKCA serves a diverse international clientele, with projects across the United States and around the world.MKCA works seamlessly across Architecture, Interior Design, and Product Design to deliver projects that are well-considered, cohesive, and connect people, materials, and place in ways that matter.
