The design approach catered for a sensitive installation of a services ‘shoe box’ within an existing heritage listed boot making factory circa 1900. Textured recycled materials, offset by the implementation of sophisticated finishes, the box floats across the original floor and dissects the floor plate as the divider of the space so that the entire volume can be appreciated from within.
