VINYL ROOM

Nestled in a vacant corner of the iconic Hollywood Palladium, The Vinyl Room seeks to provide an authentic atmosphere, alluring the most avid of audiophiles as well as those simply in search of one of a kind listening experience. Taking inspiration both from the pre-war Jazz kissa cafes scattered throughout Japan as well as the ‘60’s and ‘70’s era when high fidelity sound systems became a staple throughout peoples’ homes, the space will be an analog mixture of minimalist detailing with residential comfort resulting in a room designed for deep listening. Entering through a non-descript, alley doorway off El Centro Ave, patrons are immediately transported to another time and place as the sounds of vinyl spinning draw them through a dimly lit corridor. Arriving into the main lounge, guests are lead through the space towards a large, curvilinear bar (reminiscent of an LP) with a seamlessly lit backbar, emphasizing a mixture of the finest spirits as well as premium HiFi audio speakers and equipment. The vinyl only DJ Booth is integrated into the bar to allow for clear site lines throughout the room. An eclectic mix of custom furnishings spread throughout the space take on a residential bend and have an emphasis on comfort, further enhancing one’s overall listening pleasure. Finally, an arched “vinyl tunnel” highlighting a selection of artists’ who have all performed at the Palladium will lead guests directly out into the venue itself. Overall, The Vinyl Room is a sanctuary for those in search of an immersive experience, a sought out destination where the past, present, and future of music coalesce in perfect audio (and visual) harmony.
