What began as a classic pandemic relocation turned into a full-scale love letter to color, craftsmanship, and collected living. For this Brooklyn couple’s 1970s colonial in Colts Neck, we infused modern soul into a once-uninspired home—blending vintage treasures, natural stone, and whimsical patterns with layered restraint. The home’s palette was inspired by a long-lost Alexander McQueen scarf the homeowner described from memory, its hummingbirds and autumnal tones later re-emerged, mirroring the house itself—now rediscovered, reimagined, and reborn. From the “Narnia” wallpapered dining room to the Breccia Capraia marble linear fireplace, every room tells a story of personal history and fearless creativity. The result is a home that feels timeless yet entirely their own—a true vintage remix.
