Holmes Construction are the Main Contractors on this sublime new facility in Martinborough. Home to Te Kairanga Wine, Martinborough Vineyard and the Lighthouse Gin Distillery, The Runholder project comprised of a restaurant, tasting room, private dining room, gin distillery and commercial kitchen.

The project commenced in late October 2020 with demolition and earthworks, and the construction of the new building began in December of that year. The first stage was successfully handed over to the client in March 2021 to meet the vineyard’s non-negotiable seasonal harvest timelines. This first stage was especially complicated due to challenging access – working in a constrained site between the vineyards limited the options for buildability and lifting the 12.5 tonne precast structural panels into place.
