The design opens up to the outdoors in all areas of the home which creates an active relationship between the rear yard, patio and pool. This “open corner” in the rear of the home is lined with windows which additionally help bring the outdoors in. By designing the architecture and interiors simultaneously, THE UP STUDIO was able to create a design that blurs the lines between interior and exterior spaces.

The main bedroom suite cantilevers out over the pool and provides the family with many striking amenities including custom millwork vanities, a large seamless shower, and a freestanding tub with calming views of the lush North Shore Long Island property.

The home's interior material & color palette flows seamlessly throughout the bright, open spaces with the use of black metal hardware, wood accents and marble countertops against trim-less white walls and light, natural floors. The custom stair at entry, a primary visual element, is designed using a thin black metal frame and rails, creating a harmonious transition between all levels of the residence.

The home is located on a stunning North Shore, Long Island property that is wrapped in greenery. This landscape naturally provides the majority of the color that fills the home. Therefore, a minimal palette was used which lets that natural greenery shine rather than fighting against it.
