The Obsidian

The Obsidian remodel is a custom primary suite transformation by Kingdom & Co. in Summerlin, Las Vegas. What was an ordinary bedroom became a dramatic, high-end retreat — a spa-inspired bathroom with chromotherapy shower and freestanding soaking tub, a hidden door leading to a fully custom showcase closet, new sliding glass doors and a fixed picture window from Raven Doors & Windows that open the suite to a private balcony with desert mountain views, and a dedicated lounge area with a linear gas fireplace. Every element was intentionally selected to enhance the homeowner's daily experience while keeping the suite a seamless extension of the home's overall aesthetic. The bathroom in The Obsidian remodel was built to feel like a private spa, not just look like one. Kingdom & Co. wrapped the space in black marble from floor to ceiling, then anchored it with a freestanding soaking tub set against a backlit niche with warm wood accents. The walk-in shower features a ceiling-mounted LED chromotherapy rain head with digital temperature and lighting controls — the homeowner can set the color, intensity, and water temperature from a touchscreen panel on the wall. A black matte handheld shower and built-in shelf with eucalyptus complete the experience. The double vanity carries the same dark marble with integrated LED strip lighting along the mirror edge and warm wood display shelving that softens the moody palette. This is what a luxury bathroom remodel in Summerlin looks like when the design and construction teams are one and the same — nothing is an afterthought, and every fixture was planned from day one. Inside The Obsidian’s Hidden Door and Showcase Closet The most talked-about feature in The Obsidian remodel is the hidden door. From the bedroom side, it looks like a seamless white paneled wall with a black textured console table in front of it. Push it open and you step into a fully custom showcase closet that feels more like a luxury boutique than a storage space. Kingdom & Co. designed the closet with floor-to-ceiling LED-lit glass shelving for shoes, handbags, and accessories, a built-in vanity desk with a Hollywood-style lighted mirror, and dedicated hat display shelving along the top. The opposite wall features a full glass-shelved handbag gallery with integrated LED backlighting. A custom closet remodel in Las Vegas does not get more personal than this — every shelf, every light, and every compartment was built around the homeowner’s actual collection. The hidden door itself adds a layer of privacy and discovery that makes the space feel like something you stumble upon rather than something you walk past every day. The Obsidian Remodel: A Bedroom That Opens to the Mountain The bedroom in The Obsidian remodel was designed around the view. Kingdom & Co. installed floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors from Raven Doors & Windows that open directly onto a private balcony overlooking the Summerlin desert mountains. A large fixed picture window — also from Raven Doors & Windows — on the adjacent wall doubles the natural light and frames the Las Vegas valley in the distance. The bed is positioned to take in both views, anchored by a cognac leather platform frame, layered bedding in charcoal and silver tones, and a black velvet accent chair. Overhead, a sputnik-style glass chandelier adds a modern statement without competing with the scenery. On the opposite wall, a linear gas fireplace is built flush into the wall — no mantel, no trim, just a clean ribbon of flame that adds warmth and atmosphere on cooler desert evenings. This primary suite remodel in Summerlin Las Vegas proves that a bedroom renovation does not have to mean adding square footage — sometimes it means rethinking what is already there and making it work harder.
