We transformed an unused formal dining room into a high end lounge and bar, complete with a reach in wine cellar. One of the biggest challenges was creating a sense of enclosure and making the space feel intimate and distinct without sacrificing natural light from the surrounding areas of the home. The client envisioned a “hotel bar” atmosphere, and the final result delivers that level of sophistication and mood.
Another design challenge involved incorporating a built in wet bar along the back wall without interfering with the existing window. To solve this, we designed the sink cabinet slightly taller than the surrounding cabinetry and carried the countertop down in a waterfall detail on each side. What began as a constraint ultimately became a defining feature and reads as a fully intentional design moment
