Hillside Cottage

Nestled in the rolling hills of Mills River, Hillside Cottage reimagines the charm of the Southern and English countryside home for modern living. From the road, the cottage presents a modest, welcoming façade with gabled rooflines, painted siding, and a deep front porch - a quiet gesture that conceals the expansive experience within. As the home unfolds toward the back, the spaces open to broad mountain views, with large windows and porches framing the surrounding landscape. Inside, the design blends heritage character with contemporary ease: soft green and blue cabinetry, brass accents, paneled walls, and floral wallpapers lend warmth and personality, while high ceilings and open circulation bring light and air throughout. Every detail balances tradition and comfort, reflecting a home meant for both gathering and retreat. Hillside Cottage captures the enduring spirit of cottage living - rooted in craftsmanship and regional charm, yet effortlessly suited to modern life among the hills.
