Few constraints beyond taste and quality. For a designer, that is not an invitation. It is a provocation.

The first of three projects for the same clients, and the one where it became clear this would be a long relationship. They arrived knowing exactly the kind of world they wanted to live in: artisanal, eclectic, a mix of new, modern, classic, vintage, and antique. Taste and quality were the only guides. That kind of brief is rarer than it sounds and produces some of the most considered work.

Wool sheers run throughout the Austin, Texas home, a material decision that reads as effortless and required real commitment to carry consistently. The dark dining room adds drama without heaviness. A custom-designed pair of nightstands, an antique Japanese cabinet in the bedroom, and antique rugs sourced with care complete a home where nothing was placed without intention.
