Testimonials

The flooring provided an elegant canvas for the rest of the interior. Because we worked on a palette of layering different tones and textures, it helped contribute to a calm, soft space with the durability and longevity we were after.

The interior features veneer, cabinetry, stone and brass accents throughout. The Tongue & Groove flooring gave a lovely, soft coloured backdrop for the rest of the neutral tones to work together.

John Deuchrass, Deuchrass Architects

Tongue & Groove was the only option for this space as it provided the perfect configuration and scale of flooring to align with total design intent.

The honey colour of Freado provided a reflected glow throughout the space, and the herringbone configuration creates tactility and interest, whilst emphasising a sense of visual direction and movement.

It's an effortless match to the tones, texture, and quality of the fit-out.

Benjamin Edwards, Ply Architecture

When considering the flooring, we envisaged an engineered board in either a chevron or herringbone pattern.

Scale was an important consideration as we were working with quite modest-sized spaces. Ultimately, we selected Hekke in a chevron pattern as it offered the perfect tone and structure, elevating each space while also complementing our clients' love for the colour green.

Liz Ride, Associate Director at Studio Tate

The Tongue & Groove boards are sympathetic to the rest of the palette and offer a lovely backdrop for the other materials and furniture. The colour and tone of Hekke blends perfectly with the other chosen materials and the mid-tone is also a very forgiving colour in that it is easy to keep clean.

We like it when the new additions feel different from the original heritage spaces, so when you walk through there is quite an impact with the transition of volumes.

We used interesting materials with resolved details to create an inviting, refined and warm atmosphere with a bit of an edge.

Victoria D'Alisa, Porebski Architects

The tone of Kimber brings warmth to the crisp black and white colour palette, and the Chevron boards provide a modern take on a traditional style. It's a sophisticated, timeless palette with a clean, modern refinement.

Jessica Beck, Beckspace

I'm a very tactile person and my home reflects that.

I wanted something really easy to walk on, durable and a material that had a natural, earthy feel about it. The classical colouring of Chamoisee Oak flooring creates a neutral backdrop for the eclectic collection of furniture and artwork throughout our home.

Nick Tobias, Founder of Tobias Partners

Tongue & Groove offers exceptional quality and I confidently recommend it for use in interior applications such as walls, stairs, ceilings and even furniture, extending beyond just flooring, to create a seamless interior connection.

Ashley Maddison, Founder of AM Interior Studio

Tongue & Groove products have stood the test of time in the studio's previous projects, especially showing their longevity and hardiness in the heavy use homes of young families. Tongue & Groove have performed every time so far. In addition their customer service has been excellent.

Whilst not seen in Victorian styled buildings in Australia, Chevron flooring is a very old, medieval period feature that conjures up images of older European buildings. The subtle warmth of the timber comes through to make the space feel comfortable and homely, whilst adding a beautiful graphic pattern to the floor.

Chris Stanley, Splinter Society

Tongue & Groove flooring provided the perfect combination of quality, tone, and texture that was on brief and in budget. It's the perfect complement to the elegant palette.
