Silk Cavassa Marchetti Architecture & Interiors

At Silk Cavassa Marchetti, we view architecture as a calling and a craft, an art form and an alliance. We value longevity, innovation and versatility. We revel in the organic process of design and remain loyal to our values.

Our goal is to create spaces that honor history with quality craftsmanship and celebrate innovation through creative design. We are acutely sensitive to balance, seamlessly blending the old with the new. We believe in retaining character, eliminating fads and merging function with aesthetic.

From materials to operating costs, smart design plays an important role in all of our projects. For us, sustainability is about longevity and a responsible application of resources. Every project is infused with building science knowledge and results in homes that are efficient, comfortable and healthy. Our goal is to educate our clients about their options so that they can make informed choices that match their vision and budget.

Engagement

Partnering with our clients is our passion, purpose and privilege. We want the experience to be engaging, educational and exceptionally rewarding. We ask questions, listen to feedback and serve as a guide throughout the process. We believe that the best results occur when both the designer and the client are open, engaged and collaborative. From initial sketches to interior design, we are one team working together to create something that is truly remarkable.

Exploration

Known for our ability to push boundaries, Silk Cavassa Marchetti excels at getting the most out of a property. From the onset, we guide our clients through the journey of possibilities. From determining the buildability of a property before purchasing land to thoughtfully accessing sun angles, we explore the best opportunities for your unique project site.

Silk Cavassa Marchetti has the technological resources to ensure your project is built with the best solutions. Using a variety of modeling tools, we are able to provide insight on potential options. The result is better efficiency of time and control over costs during every stage of design.

Sustainability

We are committed to creating multi-generational homes that are energy efficient, healthy, and sustainably constructed. We are continually developing and improving our green architecture practices, procedures, and services. Our knowledge of today’s technology and science allows us to make a substantive difference on every project without sacrificing aesthetic goals.

Silk Cavassa Marchetti is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and enthusiastically supports LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and King County’s Built Green program, which provide the tools and guidelines for architects to implement sustainable design.

From energy efficiency to water conservation to indoor air quality, we provide the expertise on which materials and methods will be the most beneficial for your project.

Community

We believe in the importance and power of community involvement. We support non-profit organizations that are increasing the quality of life for families and children in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Through donating, volunteering and serving on boards, we are proud to be an active part of our city’s robust philanthropic community.
