We are Kurio; the Wellington based Interior Design Studio of industry-qualified co-owners, Katie Peck And Nikki Burnet. We specialise in both residential and commercial interior projects, with a portfolio of work from across New Zealand. Guided by the individuality of each client; we create interiors that are a joy to live in. Our design style is considered and curated, based on quality and timelessness, and finished with a twist of the unexpected. From large-scale renovation and turn-key interior projects through to decorative styling, we will expertly reflect your personal taste, and piece by piece curate an interior that is a representation of your personality, your lifestyle, and one you truly feel connected to. With nearly 30 years of combined design experience from across New Zealand, Australia, UK and Europe, we have established our personal ethos and foundations in design. Our years working in world-leading design studios, putting our touch on luxury residential homes, developments and hotels, has given us sound skills and knowledge, ready to continue creating homes of quality and integrity for our NZ clients. Our name Kurio, is a play on the words curio (a rare, unusual, or intriguing object) and curated (discovering, collecting, organising beautiful things) with the K as our signature unexpected twist. Kurio is a reflection of our design ethos; Spaces designed to Live Distinctively. As interior designers we understand that a well-executed, intentional design has a huge influence in creating a haven; a place of happiness, comfort and connection. Our aim is to craft thoughtful and beautiful interior spaces that are a manifestation of our client’s personality, lifestyle and practical needs. We want to provide you with the most professional service and the benefits of our collective creativity and design knowledge, to create something beautifully unique, together.
