About us
Daniel Joseph Chenin Ltd. is an integrated architecture and interiors studio creating immersive environments where architecture, interior design, and landscape are conceived as a unified whole.
Led by architect Daniel Joseph Chenin, FAIA, the studio approaches each project as an experiential narrative in which space, light, material, and landscape are carefully composed to create a powerful sense of place.
Rather than treating architecture and interiors as separate disciplines, the studio views them as inseparable parts of a cohesive design language. Each project unfolds through a holistic process that considers the relationship between site, climate, culture, and human experience. The result is work that balances conceptual clarity with material richness, creating environments that feel both timeless and deeply connected to their surroundings.
Las Vegas is not simply where the studio is located. It is where the practice has chosen to build its foundation. As a city shaped by environmental extremes, rapid growth, and a powerful relationship between urban life and open landscape, it offers one of the most demanding contexts in which to design. Working here requires rigor, responsiveness, and the ability to move fluidly across urban, suburban, and rural conditions. The result is a studio approach that is deeply rooted in place yet highly adaptable, allowing the firm to bring globally relevant insight to projects across a wide range of climates, cultures, and regions.
The studio’s work spans luxury residential, hospitality, and destination-driven environments across the United States and internationally. Each project begins with a careful study of site and context so that architecture emerges as a natural extension of its environment rather than an object placed upon it. Natural light, spatial sequencing, and a restrained material palette serve as primary design tools, shaping spaces that reveal themselves gradually through movement and experience.
Working in the Mojave Desert has sharpened the studio’s understanding of environmental performance. Designing in this climate demands careful consideration of solar exposure, thermal mass, passive cooling strategies, water stewardship, and material durability. These principles are embedded into the earliest stages of design, allowing architecture to work in dialogue with the landscape rather than in opposition to it.
As many regions around the world confront rising temperatures, water scarcity, and shifting environmental conditions, the lessons learned in the desert have become increasingly relevant. The studio’s experience designing within one of the most demanding climates has fostered an approach grounded in resilience, adaptability, and a deep respect for place.
Daniel Joseph Chenin
Daniel Joseph Chenin
As a native Nevadan, Daniel Joseph Chenin, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP has a deep affinity for the American Southwest, its powerful landscapes, vivid colors, and unique ecological challenges. For Chenin, the environment presents both scarcity and abundance, a perennial dearth of water alongside seemingly limitless sunshine.
A proponent of environmentally sensitive design, Daniel’s approach to sustainability is rooted in the environmental realities of the American Southwest. For him, green design is about form, shape, and order, harnessing the natural elements of desert ecosystems.
Daniel’s approach to design is multidimensional, encompassing both architecture and interior design. Before founding Daniel Joseph Chenin, Ltd., he served as the design director at an ID100-ranked interior design firm, leading top-tier projects worldwide. His portfolio includes international resort properties for premier brands such as Four Seasons, Auberge Resorts, and Wynn Resorts.
A passionate supporter of architecture students and emerging professionals, Daniel has been active in Nevada’s educational and organizational circles for two decades. He served as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, UNLV, for ten years, teaching a diverse range of design courses in both architecture and interior design.
Daniel graduated first in his class from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and was awarded the prestigious Fielden Medal for Academic Excellence in Architecture and the College of Fine Arts' Most Outstanding Graduate Scholarship. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Architecture from the university.
Daniel is a licensed architect in multiple states, including Arizona, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, and Utah. He is NCARB-certified, allowing him to apply for reciprocity licensing in all U.S. states. An active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Daniel’s accolades include:

THE CULINARY ARTISTRY OF THE CHÂTEAU
The Château Series is the crown jewel of La Cornue. Available in an unrivaled range of 8,000 configurations, colors, finishes, and measurements, each Château range features La Cornue’s patented signature — the vaulted oven first premiered by Albert Dupuy in 1908. The culmination of three generations of research, innovation, and expertise, the Château series is available in seven range sizes, from a charming 30" to a stately 71". Complementary cabinetry, hoods, rotisserie and accessories are also available. Made to order exclusively in the Saint-Ouen l’Aumône workshop outside Paris, each range is made by hand, numbered by the craftsmen, and is the embodiment of a specific owner’s vision. For over 100 years, La Cornue has continued to build upon Albert’s initial convection innovation. They’ve expanded the design, introduced new styles, but still maintain that it’s all done for one reason, and one reason only: the pleasure of the customer. Our reputation is fortified each day by those who engineer, build, refine, test, and polish each La Cornue. As a result, the name La Cornue represents a renowned spirit.
