Located in the heart of Invercargill, this brand new hotel is set to become a local landmark. Encompassing and impressive eight story’s it includes food and beverage offerings at ground level opening onto a new urban laneway. Above it boasts 80 guest rooms, multiple meeting, private dining and function rooms. Significant Cost Savings were found for the client and contractor through early stage passive fire design and co-ordination by Contego.

Contego were selected as the preferred specialist contractor (passive fire protection) after an initial competitive tender phase. Contego's role post Tender became a Specialist Design and Build contractor for the Steel protection including Intumescent paint, Board encasement and cementitious spray.

Through Contego’s ability to complete design, budget and all protection systems in house we have been able to deliver the client a 6-figure saving on this significant build.
