The BOX on the Water is an award-winning café on the foreshore at Ettalong Beach.

The café came about as part of Central Coast Council’s redevelopment of the Ettalong Beach foreshore, which included a new sandstone seawall, playgrounds, cycleway, and public beach facilities. The initial project brief was for a simple kiosk, boatshed and public amenities, however, through analysing the site and understanding the opportunities it presented, the brief evolved into a café/restaurant.
