The revival of a 1950s brick bungalow, a diamond in the rough, with its classic mid-century features waiting to be reborn. Located in Mona Vale, this project was designed and executed with great care to create a spacious, contemporary family home without sacrificing the essence of its mid-century character.

The existing house, though run-down, provided the perfect canvas for our team to reimagine it as a 5-bedroom dwelling, tailored to meet the needs of a growing young family. What was once a small, unassuming structure has been reborn into a spacious and inviting living space that is as functional as it is beautiful.

One of the standout features of this rejuvenated property is the preservation of mid-century details. Exposed beams and extended, deep eaves showcase a commitment to honouring the architectural heritage of the original structure. These details are seamlessly integrated into the design, providing a touch of nostalgia while enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The exterior of the house has been painted a fresh and crisp white, adding a contemporary touch that beautifully contrasts with the warm, earthy brick foundation.
