The Merivale Project sprang from the rubble. Like so many beautiful, older houses; Peter and Rose's old family home was ravaged by the earthquakes.

Knowing they wanted something different, something sustainable; they went to the Home Innovation Village where they met Dan and architect Anne Salmond - showcasing a High Performance House that they had just built - the first 8 Home Star rated house in NZ! Peter and Rose were drawn to the High Performance House's superb energy efficiency. Inspired by this, and with the help of Dan and Anne, the Merivale house was dreamt, and designed, and then beautifully built.

Beautiful copper features, lightly stained cedar cladding on the outside with gorgeous oak flooring and an Ingrid Geldof designed kitchen.
