With a very narrow buildable footprint, the driving force behind the design of Lookout centers around utilizing the long, tapered lot and view corridor. The unique lot is further defined by steep bluffs on three sides, creating a focused view of the adjacent Mississippi River. Upon entering the home, a grand stair immediately connects to the upper living spaces. The second story community space cantilevers out the back of the home, providing a sense of air and weightlessness amongst the trees. Ten foot floor to ceiling windows accentuate the views on each of the homes three floors. A rooftop deck acts as the summit with 360-degree views of the river valley and beyond.
