Bay Isle Horizon by CMSA Architects

Contemporary waterfront residence shaped by structure, light, and coastal resilience

Set on the northern tip of Siesta Key, Bay Horizon is oriented to capture expansive views toward Sarasota Bay, the Ringling Bridge, and downtown beyond. The design resolves a complex arrival condition by establishing a controlled entry sequence, allowing the architecture to reveal itself gradually while maintaining a clear relationship to the water.

The 9,300-square-foot residence is organized for both daily living and large-scale entertaining, with primary spaces and the owner’s suite on the main level and guest accommodations above. Expansive terraces and an elevated infinity-edge pool extend the living environment outward, reinforcing continuity between interior spaces and the waterfront setting.

Defined by cantilevered forms, warm modern materials, and precise detailing, the architecture balances durability with refinement. Integrated systems, resilient construction strategies, and a focus on natural light support long-term coastal performance while maintaining a clean, composed expression.

CMSA Architects. Founded in 1992, CMSA Architects has grown through thoughtful design, lasting relationships, and a deep understanding of how people live. More than three decades later, that foundation continues to guide the firm’s work across residential, club, and commercial projects. Experience along Florida’s Gulf Coast has also shaped a practical understanding of resilient design and long-term performance. From early planning through completion, each project considers its setting, materials, construction, and the way it will be lived in for years to come. That same sense of responsibility extends beyond the work itself. CMSA supports organizations throughout Sarasota and the Gulf Coast through volunteer initiatives, community involvement, and professional guidance. Our team brings creativity, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to every project. We work closely with our clients, consultants, and community to create thoughtful homes, clubs, and commercial spaces designed to endure.
