Stone as the Foundation of Atmosphere

Some spaces use stone as a finishing touch. At Bar La Salut, it was the starting point.

Lamond Projects selected a crazy paving blend of Silver Ash, Classic and Noce Travertine to define the tone for this Spanish-style wine bar in Redfern, and the result is both grounded and atmospheric.

The irregular shapes and natural variation across three travertine tones create a depth and warmth that a uniform tile simply cannot replicate. Up close, each piece reveals its own character; across the space, they come together as one.

From the Bar to the Wine Room

The stone continues throughout the space, from the main bar entrance through to the more intimate wine room, creating a sense of continuity without repetition.

Paired with leather banquettes, bentwood chairs and warm ambient lighting, the travertine anchors the interior — adding a tactile, considered layer to the overall experience.

A Material Without Rules

Often associated with outdoor applications, crazy paving is reimagined here within a commercial hospitality setting.

At Bar La Salut, it brings a sense of character and authenticity — a reminder that natural stone doesn’t follow a brief, but instead helps define it.
