A complete sea-change saw this inner-city professional family move away from density and embrace a little extra land, a lot of extra sky and the flexibility of a multi-level mid-century home by the sea.

A proper busy lot, they wanted a flexible home that can truly be lived in so flooring selection was a huge call here. Always a 'wood floors only' family, they are the first to admit, traditional oak or engineered oak floors simply do not stand up to their on-the-go kiwi family what with pets and teens and sports and life.

When the Ecodure team recommended BJELIN Hardened Oak after introducing the brand to New Zealand mid 2023, the family took a moment to get their heads around the unique construction & technology but the promise of genuine performance won and the whole home top to bottom got the BJELIN hardened Oak treatment.
