High performance Low E double glazing from New Zealand's glass experts.

Windows are huge part of your homes appeal. The glass you choose can make a huge difference to the comfort of your home and help to reduce the size of your power bills.

Our Low E glass does more. We offer a range glass for windows and doors with high-tech coatings tailored specially for New Zealand conditions, helping to stop the warmth from escaping during winter. We even have solar control thermal glass, that reduces the risk of overheating in summer, while still keeping you warm in winter.

We have four types of double glazing glass to choose from.
Each one has different strengths:

Xcel™ Low E- super clear thermal glass, providing maximum warmth and light
Xtreme™ Low E - clear glass providing supreme solar and thermal control
SunX™ Grey Low E- the specialist solar control option with a grey tinted appearance for privacy and glare reduction.
SunX™ Reflect Low E- has an elegant, reflective appearance for privacy - plus the benefit of thermal and solar control, while allowing light and bright interiors.

What is Low E?

  • What Low E means: It's short for "Low Emissivity" glass.
  • Energy efficient: Low E glass is very energy efficient with a special coating that lets in light while retaining heat inside to help maintain indoor comfort levels.
  • Reduce power bills: Metro Low E glass can reduce heat loss by up to 61% compared to standard double glazing, saving you money on your power bills.
  • Helps reduce risk of overheating: If overheating is an issue for your home in the hot summer months, choose from our two solar control glass options - Xtreme™ Low E or SunX™ Grey Low E, both help reduce solar heat by up to 58% when compared to standard double glazing. They also keep your home warmer in the colder winter months.
  • Let’s in natural light: Visible Light Transmission also called "VLT" is a measure of how much natural light comes through the glass. Our glass lets in different levels of light, Xcel™ and Xtreme™ Low E are perfect for creating naturally light filled spaces, both let in high levels of light. While SunX™ Grey Low E is our highest solar control glass, perfect for hot and sunny locations and rooms that experience glare.
  • Crafted for New Zealand conditions: Our selection of Low E glass is tailored to suit New Zealand conditions, offering a range of performance benefits to cater to your needs.
