Kolumba™ bricks are 100% handmade. After the clay is processed, Kolumba™ bricks are handmade in wooden moulds, then dried and fired. Varying temperatures during firing give them their diverse textures and beautiful shades; each one containing the brickmaker's thumbprint.

Kolumba™ bricks are available in 30 colours, and are equally suitable for brickwork and tiling.

Kolumba™ was jointly developed in 2002 by Petersen Tegl and Peter Zumthor, a swiss architect who wanted bricks in a roman format for the Kolumba Museum in Cologne.
