An extreme version of the modular sofa concept, Extrasoft delivers compositions of luxuriously soft low geometric blocks to create an undulating upholstered landscape. Piero Lissoni’s minimal concept was designed in 2008 and has become a 21st century classic. 

While the design took furniture in the direction of abstract expressionism it also payed homage to the comfort and low profile of the cushion-like seating found in Persia and other parts of the Middle East. 

Able to be easily reconfigured to suit a change of room or event, the design once again reinforces the brilliance of Italian designers when it comes to modular seating. Stripped of all non-essential elements but possessing beautifully subtle details, Extrasoft is modern classic that advances the great history of Italian sofa design into a new century.
