In 1957 Niko Kralj embarked on a six-month advanced study training programme in Sweden. While there he immersed himself in Scandinavian design culture and worked in Olaf Pirs design bureau. Three years later Krajl launched the now iconic 1960 chair. The 1960 chair is obviously influenced by Niko Kraljs time in Sweden. It is a true representative of the mid-century modern era. Clean lines, smooth curves and square edges combine a Scandinavian aesthetic with the utilitarian sensibility of Kraljs native Slovenia.
