It’s not often you come across a supplier who has everything you need for your space. NZ Panels Group is that diamond in the rough, stocking and manufacturing a comprehensive collection of products from their family of trusted brands.
“We have a strong manufacturing heritage as panel specialists, but we’ve since diversified, now proudly offering an extensive range of quality products,” says Paul Lerios, NZ Panels Group Marketing Manager. “The width and depth of our product offering is a real benefit for specifiers. They can, essentially, specify their entire kitchen, bathroom and more from one place.”
From panels and cabinet doors to benchtops, sinks, and taps, the NZ Panels Group offering is vast and impressive — but it’s not just the range that sets the business apart. With a long history in the New Zealand market and years working alongside local design professionals, the team’s product knowledge and expertise are equally invaluable.
In conversation with Paul, we explore each product category, showcasing a selection of products fit for any high-end kitchen.

Panels and Doors
A highlight of the panels and cabinet doors category comes from the NZ Panels Group brand, Dezignatek. Swurves, a bendable, lightweight fluted panel, is the perfect solution for curved applications such as kitchen islands, cupboards, and walls.
“Swurves is designed to be bendable, so you can easily create interesting curved shapes to quite a tight radius. There are five profiles and 40 colours to choose from, so you’ve got a lot of room to be creative with it.”
The five profiles have different ridge widths and styles, from the wider, rounded Swurves Rangitoto to the contemporary flat top look of Swurves Taranaki. Each panel is custom-made and thermoformed with a vinyl wrap on 4mm MDF.
“If you’re looking for something more traditional, our panels and doors range has such a wide variety, including a gorgeous selection of timber veneers from Bestwood and Prime Veneer. We have everything from oaks and walnuts to native New Zealand timbers. There really is something for everyone,” Paul says.

Benchtops
From composite stone and porcelain to acrylic and laminate, the benchtop options are endless. Enduringly popular, stone and stone-look products, like those from NZ Panels Group brands Prime Stone and Prime Porcelain, are an affordable, durable way to create the elegant stone benchtop look every high-end kitchen desires.
“Composite stone is cold to the touch, replicating the look and feel you expect from stone. Prime Stone products are also low-silica and Declare-accredited, which means you can use them in Living Building Challenge projects,” Paul explains.
Porcelain is a stain and UV resistant alternative to composite stone that also accurately imitates the natural stone look. Prime Porcelain and Stone design options have an incredible likeness to their natural archetypes, with mirror slabs available for captivating pattern repetition.

Sinks and Taps
The sink is an important part of the kitchen workflow, and when well designed, it can ease common pain-points that make home cooking difficult. When you’re the only chef in the kitchen, it can be awkward balancing multiple tasks (and dishes) at once — especially when following a fast-paced recipe.
“Mercer’s Central Workstation is more than just a sink; It’s called a workstation because of how functional it is. It includes a chopping board, colander, and roller mat. You can chop everything and put it in the colander to rinse, all while you have something else soaking on the other side of the 20mm drop bridge separating the double bowl. It’s a really functional piece of kit for your kitchen.”
The Central Workstation is available in both stainless steel and gunmetal finishes that can complement any kitchen aesthetic and easily match Mercer’s selection of gooseneck kitchen mixers.

Flooring
Though less glamorous than the other product categories, NZ Panels Group’s Kopine particle board flooring systems are an important part of the business and have stood the test of time.
“Our Kopine Ultralock and Kopine Tongue & Groove products are manufactured in New Zealand for local conditions, providing the durability and moisture resistance local builders expect. This side of the business allows us to produce consistent, quality substrates — essential for our decorative products,” Paul explains.
Kopine is designed to reduce peaking and squeaking, can be used in wet areas, and has a 12 week exposure time. Kopine particle board boasts long-term reliability and performance in New Zealand homes. Plus, as it’s manufactured locally, specifiers can count on shorter lead times and comprehensive support from the Kopine team.
